RED DSMC

Recently, Red have announced the new Red DSMC - Digital Stills and Motion Camera. Red DSMC is with an almost infinitely configurable digital camera system - supporting numerous lens mounts including Canon and Nikon, sensor resolution from 5 megapixels to 261 megapixels, and ability to photograph and film in 3D.

Red DSMC cameras allow you to upgrade your EPIC brains; there are also a number of camera configurations to choose. The brains that are used in these cameras have been built upon Mysterium-X and Mysterium Monstro sensors, these start from 2/3-inch, and will go up to 6×17-cm.

Prices when the Scarlet camera hit the shelves in spring 2009 will range from $2,500 to $12,000. You will have to wait until summer for the EPIC, which will give you time to save up the $28,000 to $55,000 required to buy it.
